I remember running through the wet grass

I hit the pavement this evening. 2.5 miles, probably the longest I've gone in a few months. Probably since I lived in Philly and used to run Forbiddon Drive in Chestnut Hill with my friend Ashley a few times a week. I love fall because the weather starts to cool down, but it gets darker sooner. Not fun. My 6pm run is almost dusk.

While on my run, I listened to a flashback playlist with a lot of my favorites I haven't heard in awhile. Kanye Stronger was involved. Some All-American Rejects, which used to be my all-time favorite band to run to. And then Better Than Ezra came on and it took me back to high school cross country! I used to play Desperately Wanting before cross country races, it totally pumped me up and kept me going at the end when I definitely was ready to stop. Don't you just love how a good song can make the work out so much better?

Afterwards I came home and scarfed down a strawberry green monster before I even had a chance to take a picture! Fail me. Sorry! It had...
  • Almost an entire bag of spinach. I kid you not. I'm trying to eat more greens.
  • Fat Free Greek Strawberry yogurt
  • About 10 frozen strawberries
  • A splash of almond milk
  • 1/2 scoop strawberry protein powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
It was delic. Probably one of the best green monsters I've made. It tasted like strawberry juice.

We cleared off our kitchen table to enjoy dinner.

Mahi mahi grilled with lemon pepper seasoning on it, cous cous and mixed frozen veggies.

Ok, so the table wasn't that clean. There is still ribbon everywhere, but I pushed it out of the way enough to enjoy dinner.

Well, it's time to relax for a bit before bed time.

What's your favorite work out song lately? Have any suggestions for a new playlist??
