Wedding Planning Extravaganza

Yesterday was a busy busy day!

We started the day off on the right foot though and went to Mamie's for breakfast.

It's a great bakery/cafe with a lot of charm

and history. The building used to be a hotel, but a fire destroyed parts of the building and the cafe was put in next to the section that burnt down.

Some of the breakfast choices:

One of my brothers got "The Mess". It's pretty self explanatory I think.

Stuffed french toast for another brother and fiance.

My mom tried the egg sandwich.

And I had a veggie omelet with wheat bread. Sooo good! I love it there.

We needed to fuel up because we didn't get home again til 8pm. From breakfast we went to meet with the florist for the wedding, then the photographer, and lastly the priest. At some point in the blur of the day we had sandwiches at Sheetz for lunch...along with some much needed coffee. It didn't last long enough to take a picture.

As if all that wasn't enough, we decided to stop at Bed, Bath and Beyond to figure out what to do with all of our shower gifts that we couldn't get back to Florida. They were so great about taking everything back and ordering everything again so it would be shipped right to Florida without having to pay any shipping! Sooo easy and convenient. It took awhile to go through everything...and by awhile, I mean 2 hours, but it's all taken care of and should be down at our house soon after we get back!

Another Sheetz run was necessary after all of that for some caffeine and hydration.

Sweet Leaf Sweet Tea

I'm usually a little leary of  drinks in a can, but I'd never seen this tea before and thought I'd give it a try.

It's USDA organic and really good! I'm glad I tried it! They had lots of other flavors too. I might have to try some others before I head back to Florida. I'm trying to eat a year's worth of Sheetz in 1 week. I've had 3 trips in only 4 days so I think I'm doing pretty good.

After all that work was done, the wedding practically planned in a single day, we went to watch my baby brother's basketball game in the Altoona summer basketball league.

They lost, but decided to blame it on the heat. Oh boys.

And for dinner...finally. As if all of this wasn't enough for one day, we went to The Knickerbocker with my parents.

Chicken salad, Pennsylvania style with french fried and some Weyerbacher Blanche. A perfect end to a crazy day.
