Oh for the love of oats

I was very sad to start off my Monday morning with an oats fail. Maybe the excitement of something new has worn off on my taste buds, or maybe it was the ingredients in today's mix that just made it kinda ehh.

1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup skim milk
A sprinkle of Goji Berries
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp of brown sugar
a sprinkling of walnuts
and a hefty handful of blueberries

I spent the morning debating if it was the maca powder or the skim milk that I had a beef with. The skim milk made it a little more watery than it was with almond milk. And maca powder...dear sweet maca powder. How I want to love you, just how I want to love oatmeal.  However, maybe it needs to grow on me? I've been using Navitas Raw Maca Powder for a few weeks now. I don't really care for the taste, and it's not really growing on me. Does anyone know of any foods that mask the taste of it at all? I would love some advice! Until then, I will struggle through.

I ate about 3 bites, mostly of blueberries and walnuts, and I came to work to see FREE breakfast of bagels and pastries. The world hates me on Monday morning. I resisted, but I admit, I'm pretty hungry and would LOVE a bagel right now.

NO! Focus! 3 weeks til bridesmaid dress! I'm chugging water as we speak to try to make it through til lunch time.

And to move was my first attempt with Stevia in coffee, althought I was tempted to use it while baking yesterday. Please feel free to ridicule me for being behind the times. In the booming metropolis of "Nicevegas" we have no health food stores, no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, our grocery store is called "Food Depot", we don't really have any national chains besides fast food places and a Kmart.  I'll leave you at that, but it's hard to get some products. Essentially, all healthy food and any good produce. It's kind of a hunt that takes multiple grocery stores and sometimes a long drive to another town for food. But we ventured to Winn Dixie at some point in the blur of yesterday and I found some Stevia. I really like it! It doesn't have the funky taste of splenda. I hear it's much more natural and easier for your body to break down. Much sweeter than sugar though, the way most artificial sweetners are. I use about a 1/2 tsp of regular sugar in my coffee, but I barely need a sprinkle of this to do the trick! So far, so good. One good thing that has come of my monday. I hope everyone's enjoying their Monday morning!
